Instituted in 1915. This medal was awarded for mention in despatches, and the type of despatch is indicated by an emblem on the ribbon, bronze star for regimental dispatch, silver star for divisional dispatch, silver gilt for army corp dispatch. Several emblems can be worn on the same ribbon. All loose ribbon available in 30cm lengths, as full size or miniature.
